Peculiar, Missouri Location of Peculiar, Missouri Peculiar is a town/city in Cass County, Missouri, United States.
Peculiar also had families coming from Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. On July 29, 1868, the county surveyor, Robert Cass, platted Peculiar and was filed as "The Town of Peculiar". In 1953 Peculiar was incorporated and became a fourth class town/city of the state of Missouri. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 8.45 square miles (21.89 km2), of which, 8.41 square miles (21.78 km2) is territory and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) is water. As of the census of 2010, there were 4,608 citizens , 1,704 homeholds, and 1,268 families residing in the city.
